A Concrete Dam has been build in the jungle to raise the water level of a river section high enough to feed a water distribution system which will irrigate several rice fields located on hills in the area. The water will partly be deviated into an open water collection tank shown here beside the rice fields and from there continue through a variety of channels to the different main areas for agricultural purposes. In this case the water will flow down the hills passing over the rice paddies and join again the same river. About Dam: is a barrier that impounds water or underground streams.
